2009 Richland Raiders Baseball Spring/Summer
Season Information

We would like to welcome you to the Richland Raiders. Please accept our invitation to play in the 2009 spring and summer league. We are very excited about our inaugural full season and hope the boys and parents are as well. Unlimited potential is apparent in our selections and we hope to be very competitive in league and tournament play.

This initial contact letter will serve two purposes:
1) To give the parents expectations for the upcoming season.
2) To give the coaches commitments from the players so they can plan for the upcoming tournaments and leagues.

The coaching staff has worked hard to put together a package that we will provide the boys lots of fun this spring and summer. We plan to also have a fall recreational season, but the fall season will be discussed later in the year.

First and foremost, we want all parents to know that your boys have been hand picked to be on the team. Each coach wants these boys on the team and feels they all can mature under our program. We welcome all feedback we receive from the parents and take it under strict consideration.

Since this is a private team, we will have to make all of the plans ourselves and won't have intervention or governance besides our coaches and parents. As a private team, we will also have to bear the costs of the activities we undertake this season.

We have put together this outline of our plans, tentative schedule and planned costs so that you may make your plans accordingly and prepare for our season.

We realize that you have allowed your son to be on our team because this is a serious baseball team, but does not have the intense financial and time commitment that many other select club programs have.

I'm sure that many of you will have questions or concerns after reading through our proposal. As the General Manager of the organization, I welcome all questions and will answer each of you by email personally.
